Peace and Conflict Resolution
This book which is divided into thirteen chapters discusses the basic issues to guide the understanding of peace and conflict resolution to a beginner. It covers key concepts, definition, contextualization, causes, types and dynamics, analysis and theories of conflict including various approaches to managing conflict whether at the inter-personal level or the international stage. Violent conflicts and peace are also discussed from various perspectives.
In addition, conflict-handling styles and alternative dispute resolution are also discussed. It is hoped that the users will be agents of change and drivers of peaceful society wherever they are found. The Holy Scripture assures “blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9), it is our expectation that this book will help all to follow the part of peace.
