Microteaching Practice and Flipped Classroom Instructions
In this eight-chapter textbook, the author, a distinguished specialist and scholar in the field, takes us through the meaning and process of Microteaching, in Chapter One to the concept of the Flipped Classroom in the last two chapters of the text. The skills needed for microteaching, such as repetition, questioning, reinforcement, set induction skills and stimulus variation skills, among others are elucidated in Chapter Three. The practical tips on the requirements and maintenance of the microteaching laboratory discussed in Chapter Six will surely be helpful to pre- and in-service teachers. These background chapters dovetail into discussions on the Flipped Classroom (FC) instructional strategy in Chapter Seven, a concept which clearly is germane to teaching and learning in the technologically demanding times we live in.
